SkillAge Online
Terms of service
The rules for playing SkillAge Online, in plain words. By playing, as a guest or with an account, you agree to them.
The short version: one account each, play fair by the Game rules, be kind, keep your sign-in safe, and remember that the game is still being built.

1. Who we are, and agreeing to these terms
SkillAge Online is run by King IT Solutions, a vennootschap onder firma (vof) in the Netherlands (“we”, “us”). SkillAge is a trade name of King IT Solutions (KvK 82130302). You can reach us at support@skillage.app, and our Company details list the rest.
These terms apply whenever you play the game or use its website. By playing, you agree to them. Our Game rules are part of these terms: they say in plain words how every player plays. Our Privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
When you make a full account, with Google or an email address, we ask you to confirm that you accept these terms and the Privacy policy, and that you are 16 or older or have a parent’s or guardian’s consent. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian to read these terms with you and to agree to them before you play.
Back to the contents2. An alpha in development
SkillAge Online is an alpha: it is still being built and tested. Features, balance and content will change, sometimes a lot, and things will sometimes break. The game may also be unavailable for a while during an update.
Your progress is saved on our servers and carries over from one update to the next. We reset characters only as a deliberate decision that we state and announce beforehand. Characters have been reset once so far, for Alpha 0.6.0.
Found a bug? Please report it in the bug report forum on our Discord server. Its progress shows on the notice board in the game.
Back to the contents3. Your account
- Guests and connected accounts. You can play as a guest or with an account (Google, or an email address you confirm). A guest is saved online, but only the browser it began in can reach it. Connect a login in Settings → Account to keep it on every device; if that browser loses its data first, the guest can’t be recovered.
- Keep your sign-in safe. Don’t share your password or let others play on your account. You are responsible for what happens on it. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
- One account per person, with one character on it. Don’t make a second account, don’t share yours, and don’t sell, buy, lend, swap or give away an account. A guest you later connect to a login is still the same one account. Made two by accident? Write to support@skillage.app and we close one. See One account per person in the Game rules.
- Names. Character names and guild names must not offend (no hate, slurs, sexual or violent words) and must not pretend to be someone else, including us or our team. The same goes for guild descriptions and profile mottos. We may reset or remove a name that breaks this rule. A reset name stays blocked, and the game asks you to choose a new one.
4. Fair play and the Game rules
Play by the Game rules. They are part of these terms, and say what is allowed, why, and what happens when a rule is broken.
SkillAge is an idle game: actions run by themselves, the queue starts the next one, the Camp keeps its own timers and progress continues while you are away. That is the only automation allowed. Don’t:
- cheat, change the game’s code or requests, or use tools that play for you, such as bots, scripts, macros or auto-clickers;
- exploit bugs. Report them instead, and don’t share how to use one;
- play on a second account or on someone else’s, for example to pass gold or items to yourself through the Market;
- scam other players, or trade gold, items or accounts for real money;
- harass, threaten or insult other players, or post hateful, sexual or illegal content;
- spam guild chat;
- attack, overload or try to get into our servers or other players’ accounts.
5. Gold, items and other virtual things
- Gold, items, levels and Premium’s perks exist only in the game. They have no value in real money and are not your property: you may use them in the game while these terms apply.
- Don’t sell, buy or trade them for real money or anything outside the game, and don’t pay others to play for you. Trading with other players for gold on the Market is part of the game and is fine.
- As the game develops we may change, rebalance or remove them.
7. What you post
What you write in the game is yours: your character’s name, your guild’s name and description, your profile motto and your messages in guild chat.
- You keep your rights in it. You give us permission, free of charge, to store it, copy it and show it to other players in the game, for as long as the game needs it.
- Other players see it: a guild’s name and description show in the guild list, chat goes to your guild’s members, and your name and profile show to other players.
- We may remove anything that breaks these terms. A guild’s leader and officers can remove messages from their guild’s chat.
- Any player can report a message, a name or a motto with Report. A person on our team reviews each report. See Reporting a player in the Game rules.
- Posts on our Discord server, which the notice board shows, also fall under Discord’s own terms.
8. Warnings, suspensions and bans
If you break these terms or the Game rules, we usually go step by step: first a warning, then a temporary suspension, then a permanent ban. Serious cases, such as bots, real-money trading, hacking or illegal content, may go straight to a ban.
- What you gained by cheating is always removed, whichever step we take. We may also remove what you posted, or reset a name.
- A suspended account can’t play, is taken off the leaderboards, and its profile can’t be seen, until the suspension ends. A banned account is closed for good, and so is any new account made to get round a suspension or a ban.
- We tell you why. When we act on your account or on something you posted, the game sends you a notice: what it was about, what we did, which rule it broke and how to appeal.
- Appeals. You may appeal within 30 days by writing to support@skillage.app. A person, not an automatic system, reviews every appeal and tells you the outcome.
What happens when a rule is broken in the Game rules says the same in more detail.
You may stop playing at any time, and delete your account yourself in Settings → Account. See How long we keep it in the Privacy policy.
Back to the contents9. Our game
SkillAge Online, with its name, world, story, characters, art, music and code, belongs to King IT Solutions. You may play it, and share screenshots and videos of your own play. Don’t copy, sell or reuse the game or its art in any other way without our written permission.
Back to the contents10. No guarantees, and limits on liability
We work hard to keep the game running and your progress safe, but during the alpha we offer it as it is, without promises that it will always be available, free of errors or unchanged.
As far as Dutch law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage from using the game or from not being able to use it, including lost progress, gold or items, unless we caused it on purpose or through gross negligence.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer under Dutch or EU law.
Back to the contents11. Changes, the law, and how to reach us
- Changes. We may change these terms as the game develops. We update the date at the top, and tell players in the game or on the Discord server before an important change takes effect. When a change needs your agreement, the game asks you to accept it before you play on. If you don’t agree with a change, you can stop playing and delete your account.
- The law. Dutch law applies to these terms. A dispute goes to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country’s consumer law and may also go to a court where you live.
- Contact. Questions, complaints and requests go to support@skillage.app. We’d rather sort a problem out with you first.
